Bold Scripture Tattoo With The Wordings Of Christ
For all of the people above with tattoos referring to the Bible/Christianity,
All I have to say to you is one single word. Irony. And you want know why?
↓ This is why: ↓
“Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.” -Leviticus 19:28
(I am in no way implying that the artists who took the time to design and tattoo these pieces are “bad tattoo artists”, I’m speaking exclusively to the idiots who got the ink permanently engraved in their skin. At the same time, I’m trying to sway the self-embarrassing decision of others who want to do exactly the same thing.)
As an atheist, I’ll gladly suggest that all of you “true Christians” should actually READ the Bible before getting it forever marked on your body.
Not that it matters much, since you’re probably just trolling, but as a “true” Christian with four, nearly five, tattoos, I’d like to say.
Leviticus is the old Judaic law. I mean, the verse right before that says not to shave. And while portions of old law are still important (10 commandments and whatnot), Leviticus and Numbers and such are generally just long lists of rules meant in a cultural sense for the Israelites to set themselves apart as God’s chosen people. But because Jesus came and died on the cross, the old law was fulfilled and the sacrifices and long lists of rules are no longer, like, what modern Christians have to live by.
I’m not going to try and convert you, I just want you to know that taking one little verse out of context like that generally isn’t a good idea. There’s a lot more to the story than just what’s on paper in Leviticus.
Could not have said it better myself!!!
Dear Atheist:
Actually… as that verse is from the OLD testament and we have been told to follow the NEW testament since the death of Christ… your verse doesnt really apply. and if you are atheist, dont go around accusing people based off of your meager knowledge of the Bible. Hebrews 10:9; Jeremiah 31: 31-34; Col. 2:14; Eph. 2:15 I am not saying the Old Testament is no use to us… it is there to teach us but we are not commanded to follow it.
As an atheist, it is not surprising you do not realize that the law spoken in the Old Testament book Leviticus was fulfilled by the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ in the New Testament. Thus, all of the directives given to the people of the Old Testament were fulfilled and cancelled out; we are now saved and sanctified through the spilling of Jesus’ blood. He that knew no sin was sent to take on sin so that we may have life, everlasting.
I truly understand your position. It is indeed a difficult leap of faith to believe that someone could love you NO MATTER WHAT. It’s antithetical to our human nature. I thank God that he allowed me to see it!

……^Hmm Read That^……
“16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS.”
-Revelation 19:16
Some of us christians had the tattoos b4 coming to christ and we have been forgiven and are now used as a witnessing tool so dont be judgemental
As an atheist you should mind your own business and refrain from telling
Christians what the bible said. Your hypocrisy coupled with your preaching is ironic for an ignorant atheist. Go slap a Darwin bumper sticker on your car or sue someone for putting up a Christmas decorations. I mean really, I’m trying to get tattoo ideas to inspire me using my faith cause I’ve been beat down by assh$@!s like you. Apparently there’s no getting away from you jacka$$es. Screw you, you freak!
Old testament Law v. New covenant Grace
I choose Grace, give it a try
Heyy, in the end, when Jesus is on his white horse and the sword is coming out of his mouth, He has a tattoo. Its on his thigh. “King of kings, and Lord of lords.”
So, whether you think tattoos are bad or unbiblical or not, every sin is taken away(If tattoos are sin) by the blood of Christ. I personally see nothing wrong with tattoos that glorify God, but I wouldnt get one of like a prostitute. Then I think thats wrong.>.>
but anywaaays. Just sayin’ lol. Ive thought about it a bit because Ive been debating whether or not to get one. but thats about it.
peace and love to all you guys.
God does not judge our skin, he judges the heart. 1 samuel 16:7 says. I have rejected him for the Lord sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. and the people said AMEN.
