Environments are one of the most frequent subjects for conceptual art. They aid directors in visualizing the environment, they help matte painters have a base concept to work with, and they help establish mood, themes and colors for the final scene. Being able to understand perspective, compositional techniques and lighting are incredibly important for concept artists, and many projects’ concept art helps determine the success of the project. Some artists even become eternally linked to the project itself, such as Ryan Church’s concept design work in Star Wars.
In this post, we’ll look at 30 spectacularly painted digital landscapes and environments from a variety of talented concept and digital artists from around the globe. Whether they are rougher conceptual works or highly polished finished paintings, the detail and talent is incredible.
Hopefully you enjoy the works!

Wow.. these are stunning… I wish I could paint like that…
Nice collection of artwork dear. Bye Bye Mr. Moon and Overgrown downloaded for desktop. 🙂
…. definitely quite fantastic conceptual artworks…. one of my most favorite genre’s in the world !! But then again, that’s what makes art “art” isn’t it…. artist’s “concepts” …. I know that was a bad joke, really bad joke !! I really do understand what makes “conceptual art” the fantastic creative genre that it is…. and it seems to be “ever-evolving” as we speak !! Thanks Fewer for the share and thanks to Brukhar for the showcase at one of his “homes”…. “CreativeFan” !!
nice works. I like it.
