Top 10 Free Website Speed Testing Tools

Website speed is a major part of optimizing your websites for users and search engines. The faster your website loads, the less the users have to wait, which will reduce your site’s bounce rate.  If your website loads slower, most users will not wait, and will instead look for content on other sites.

From the search engine point of view, website speed has a significant impact on your rankings as well.  If your site has valid markup and a good loading time, it will definitely get higher placement then slower sites.  For this purpose, this post features a number of free online website speed testing tools, which can give you an overview and recommendations on how you can make your site load faster.

CreativeFan Official Launch

Greetings everyone!  I’m very proud to announce the launch of CreativeFan, a network of websites aimed at creatively oriented people.  Whether you’re a designer, developer, artist, musician, filmmaker, photographer, or just an appreciator, CreativeFan will be bringing you useful tools, tutorials, resources, articles and inspiration to keep you going.

The first site in the CreativeFan network is our main site, which you are currently viewing.  This site will bring you articles and roundups full of useful ideas and resources.  We’ll be updating often, so you won’t ever be without a new dose of awesomeness.  If you’re a blogger, we also have a community link feed that you can submit your articles to, located on the sidebar.  If you’re an author or you want to contribute to the site, please check out our Write For Us page. Lastly, if you’re an advertiser, please consider supporting creativity and promoting your brand to our excellent audience, and check out our available advertisement spots.

We’re working on launching other sites as well.  The next site that we’ll be launching is a design tutorials site.  Instead of focusing on only Photoshop, we figured it would be better to just have a solid topic, and allow authors to use a variety of software in their work, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Cinema4D, Xara, and more.  We’ll be launching that site soon, so stay tuned.

We recognize that we’re a new and growing network.  Therefore, we need your input on pretty much everything in order to know how to best meet your individual needs.  Although we rigorously tested the site before launch, we recognize that new sites occasionally have functionality issues.  If you find any, please let us know, and please leave your thoughts on our posts in the comments section, or if you’d like to contact us directly, please check out our contact form.

On behalf of everyone here at CreativeFan, welcome to our community!
